The idea for the band was conceived at the end of 2008 when a group of three friends started rehearsing at home. Having dealt with hundreds of line-up and accommodation problems, in August 2010 the band managed to form a permanent outfit and began working on its first demo record. After a couple of months the group started performing live and by the end of 2011 scored 10 gigs most of which were played in Poznan and its surroundings. At that time the five-piece performed under the names The Third Coming and Suicide Solution. On the turn of February and March 2012 Blast Rites released "Suicide Solution” EP – a six-track mini-album delivering a fusion of death metal, deathcore and grindcore. This release was a summary of everything the band had achieved by that time while the new name marked the beginning of a new chapter on the group’s timeline. Blast Rites are currently working on new tracks for their first LP. So far the band’s shared the stage with El Schlong, Drown My Day, Dust n' Brush, Lostbone, Empty Playground, Toxic Bonkers and Extinct Gods.
