My Secret Collective / Bio

Growing up on his fathers knee listening to the symphonies is how this man was first introduced to music. He didn't fully understand then just how much music would change his life but those building blocks that were layed silently for years by his father still remain true to this day.

Developing further in his teens with the help of a guitar and some minor tuition from his father who was unable to play the guitar due to arthritis in his fingers, Paulie began his neverending journey into songwriting.
Paulie says “coming from west Cork, I was lucky enough to always be around great musicians who were always ready with some helpful tips. He had been playing in and around West Cork for a few years and finally found a place for himself on the stage, however it seems his major development
as an artist came when he moved to Cork City.

He says “It was there in Cork that I tried to grow up a little and become more mature. One of the biggest lessons I learned was not to waste time. Without devoting myself to music i was just procrastinating. I guess things started to change when being a Musician was all I was thinking of. You might be working a different job, living an alternate life, but every day you wake up and feel like you know exactly what you should be doing but just haven’t yet found the courage to change it.

My style is always developing, I don’t pretend to know the things I don’t, but I always keep an open mind to new ideas".
