Barak Hill is an indie folk singer/songwriter and producer raised in Kansas and Oklahoma, and now based out of Springfield, Missouri.
In a review of Barak's album, This Life I Love, Chris DeRosier of TAG Magazine had this to say: "Where Hill excels, and so few of his contemporaries do, is in making silence and pause into storytelling devices unto themselves...Hill’s lyrical approach is economical and plain-spoken, the words of everyman. But they’re delivered with the careful pacing and assuredness of a man who knows the impact he wants and how to get it. It’s this sense of when not to sing or even play that lends the songs a gravitas they could lose in the hands of someone else."
Barak has shared the stage with acts as diverse as Big Smith and international recording artists Proto Kaw. His acoustic indie folk style is a perfect fit for intimate house concerts and listening rooms where he can tell the stories behind his songs and connect with audiences on a more personal level.
