I was raised in Boise, ID. I became involved in music at a young age starting with piano at the age of 6. During fourth grade I started playing violin, but the instrument just didn't seem like a good fit. After a couple of years, I had the opportunity to change my instrument to the cello and took it. There was no looking back and I played the cello for another 8 years before life took over taking me away from my passion for music.
I attended the University of Idaho and earned a Chemical Engineering degree then went to work at Dow Chemical in California. After 3 years there, I left Dow and ended up in Idaho working for Micron Technology as a process engineer and self-taught programmer. I had 5 children (1 son and 4 daughters) over the course of 10 years. During that time, I ended up coming home to be with my children. I home-schooled my kids (3 have graduated so far from high school).
Through all of this, however, I found that I was missing music. I started a new instrument, classical guitar, but still felt not quite right about it. Finally, I picked up my poor cello and started playing again. Oh my, it felt just like coming home - I LOVE playing the cello. Now, I am pursuing my life long dream of recording, and I feel very blessed to be able to share my love and passion for incredible music here on Reverbnation!
