Roots Rhythm & Dub, an alternative reggae band, fuses traditional rock influences with a progressive reggae sound. Originally formed in 2006 by Kevin Kareckas and Josh Routhier-Fenton, the band found a full and consistent group in the Fall of 2012 in Portland, Maine. Their appeal draws from an eclectic musical background, where each member contributes their own unique flavor. The band became under the direction of Routhier-Fenton who added current bass player and vocalist Josh Hunnefeld in 2008. Together, the group would release two albums, 2010's B Side, and 2012's The Getaway EP which led the band to play many spots around New England and established them as a prominent part of the Dover, NH and Portland, ME music scenes. Filled out by Tom Menzie (Guitar/Vocals), Sam Yawdik (Drums/Vocals), and Adam Vinciguerra (Percussion), the band has created one of the freshest forms of Reggae around. Roots, Rhythm, & Dub released their third studio album, Patience in January of 2015.
