Ms. O'Connor personally suffered terrible bullying and isolation throughout most of her school years. As a result, she developed an anxiety disorder in middle school. Meredith recovered by focusing on her strengths. Ironically, after being ridiculed for being tall and thin, she was scouted by an agent, became a model, and met manager Rick Galvin, who found out that she wrote songs. He produced her first video, which went viral. Since then her popularity has exploded, and she is using that platform to reach other victims of bullying.
Her school presentation has been extremely well-received all over the world. By sharing her story, she get kids to think about the effects that bullying and exclusion have on the victims-- and empowers the victims to stay strong. She is both relatable and approachable.
She is working on her first full-length album, being produced by Grammy-winner Kenny Ortiz.
Meredith is a role model that kids all over the world look up to, and her message and presentation have changed the lives of many. She has already booked shows all over the U.S., plus Greece, the UK and Australia.
