Matty Graziano, a born and raised West Virginian, has been living in Colorado since 2004. He plays a style rooted in folk and blues music that is familiar to the heart of the listener, yet uniquely his own. He has been playing the guitar and harmonica for ten years and has been writing original songs since he first picked up a guitar. His songs are lyrically based and held together by solid guitar rhythms and melodies that range from blues to bluegrass, from rock n’roll to strictly original. He takes pride in the quality and quantity of his original songs, and can play for over three hours to a wide range of people. Matty has this to say about his songwriting style, “my lyrics reflect my life, the lives of my friends and family, and the lives of the characters that live only in my head. I find myself in a desperate search for metaphor and meaning in the mundane. On the good days, writing a song is a fist clenching struggle...on the best days it writes itself”.
