The spirit of a band is its strongest asset and for Baltimore pop punk trio 3PM, it is undeniable and captivating. According to the band, pop punk is a manifestation of everything they believe in, it’s just who they are. It’s easy to see in their genuine and dynamic performances and even easier to hear. PopWrapped magazine praised the group’s “own new rebellious yet heartfelt sound”. Their melodic, fresh music has been thrilling fans and attracting notice from a wide swath of industry press. The success of their latest album established a name for 3PM on the East Coast and attracted a growing and dedicated fanbase.
Formed in the summer of 2012 in Baltimore, MD, 3PM created their own melodic, fresh pop punk / pop rock sound with influences from bands like Blink 182, Green Day, All Time Low and Yellowcard. An energetic, young group, their attitudes and outlook on life show through in their catchy and upbeat lyrics.
To create this trio, friends Brandon Millman (drummer) and Scott Montgomery (lead guitarist) turned to social media to find Brennan Stark (lead vocals and bassist). The group recorded their first album, Change of Plans, in early 2013, and simultaneously released their hit single, Perfect For Me. In mid-2014 the group headed back to the studio to record with well-known producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Senses Fail, The Dangerous Summer) for the eagerly awaited album Slow Me Down. The album was released in August, 2014 with a busy schedule of tour dates. Slow Me Down peaked on the Billboard charts on August 1, 2015: #27 on Top Rock Albums, #2 on Heatseekers, #18 on Alternative and #19 on Independent. With many looking to see what they would do next, the band spent countless hours working to take their sound to the next level. The result: Overdrive. This new summer single is a taste of the future of 3PM; bright, powerful, and driven. Produced with Austin Bello of Forever The Sickest Kids, Overdrive was released June 8, 2015, just before the trio headed out with the Vans Warped Tour. Be on the lookout for big things from this youthful, up and coming group.
