Guitarist/Songwriter, Kevin Lemen, began his professional musical career while still in high school. Because he was too young to go into the dirty, smoke-filled bar rooms of Soulard, MO on his own, his parents accompanied him, so that he could play with the area’s greatest blues musicians. Kevin cut his teeth on songs that most musicians only play after 50 years, or more, of hardliving. His passion for music was evident and at age17, he was chosen to play a Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn at The Pageant, St Louis’s coveted stage, by local headliner, Steve Pecaro. It was a highlight for Kevin, but proved to not be enough.
Kevin teamed up with a Springfield, IL band, The Station, known for original, ambitious, genre-bending rock and roll music. While touring and playing with The Station for nearly6 years, Kevin helped pen some of their best-loved originals and the band won Best Original Band and Band Most Likely to Hit it Big in 2008 and again, Best Original Band in 2009. Being on the road led him to places like B.B. King’s in Manhattan, NY; The Waiting Room in Omaha, NE; Stagger Inn in Edwardsville, IL; Fatso's in Lawrence, KS and cities like Nashville, Knoxville, Charleston and Ashville from Newark to L.A..
Kevin left The Station in December of 2009 and set his sights on higher ground and founded Whole New Head with Mark Keller. The band is quickly taking off and becoming a favorite of many St Louis area nightclubs. Progressive and classic rock mixed with the band's original material delights fans everywhere they play.
