Dominican classical ballerina, urban dancer and arts enthusiast, currently residing in NYC as song writer and recording artist.
KARO: Dominican former classical ballerina whose singing debut was at Cin-M-Art @ 43 space Biddy's Earlys. Her tracks include: "Arroz con Leche," "Mambrú" and "My Constant Escape" written by Karo and co-produced by Karo and Cesar Tejeda @ Motoneta Records NYC. "Canción de Amor" was written and composed by Bur-GOS (her brother Enrique Tejada) with whom she constantly collaborates, as well as with her father, very well known musician "el maestro" Enriquillo Tejada. Carolina Tejada (Karo) thrives on making each moment count as an opportunity to practice her personal and professional Kaizen.
Born and raised in Dominican Republic, and with a strong professional Ballet background, Carolina brings a Caribbean warmth and an artistic outlook to all of her endeavors. She earned a degree in Ballet by the age of 17. Soon after, she was offered the opportunity to travel to Cuba to compete as the top student in her class. Her strong dancing skill set allowed her to tour around the world with renowned artists such as Ricky Martin and Julio Iglesias exposing her to diverse cultures. She later became a TV Hostess, Actress and Radio producer of projects that engaged her in demanding tasks in front and behind the camera. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she relocated to Miami where she completed her Ba of Arts in Liberal Studies and Marketing. Currently residing in New York City as an actress, spokesmodel and recording artist.
