Tracorum is an original Southern Rock'n'Soul/Rhythm'n'Blues/Americana/ Singer-Songwriter band from San Francisco,CA. Epic live shows and heartfelt original music are at the core of this soul stirring, eclectic bay area talent. Steeped in traditional roots music the band features the piano, electric guitar and vocals in a four piece rock ensemble.
Tracorum features some of the San Francisco's most talented and varied musicians: The individual sounds of South African drummer Ian Herman (Paul Simon, Sting, Mickey Hart Band, Vusi Mahlasela, Hugh Masekela) Mark Calderon (Zigaboo Modeliste,Leo Neocentelli) on bass coupled with soulful songwriter/pianist/vocalist Fletcher Nielsen and the electric Derek Brooker on guitar make for a band who's sound is equally masterful both in the studio and live on stage.
Tracorum has released three studio albums:
-2006 "Rock n Soul"
-2011 "The Lesson"
The Lesson has been well received and is in rotation on over 150 college and AAA radio stations across the country.
2013 "Tricked" has been added to over 200+ College/AAA stations across the country since it's release in January. Charting CMJ and catching wind as it continues to get praise from music writers/bloggers and listeners alike!
