Kree Harrison / Bio

Kree Harrison who reigns from the LoneStar state has been performing
country music since she was three years old. Growing up in Woodville,
TX she performed in churches, oprys, and rodeos throughout the Golden
Triangle. During a routine show at the venue Broken Spoke Saloon, a
friend recorded the seven-year-old’s set and sent it to the Rosie
O’Donnell Show. Rosie later contacted Kree to perform on her “Most
Talent Kids” episode, which at the time included pop artist Jo-Jo. She
ended up appearing as a guest on the show four times.

The experience found Kree, at just eight-years-old, developing
relationships with management companies and record labels. For two
years the singer traveled back and forth from Woodville to Nashville,
proving hard work pays off, after signing a development deal with
Lyric Street Records. At the time, the label had acts such as Rascal
Flatts and SheDaisy. The deal led Kree to her last performance on the
“Rosie O’Donnel Show” - promoting the two’s duet of “Do You Hear What
I Hear?” The song was featured on Lyric Streets “No Wrapping Required”

As things started taking off in a new direction, the twelve-year-old
dropped everything after hearing the news that her father had passed
away in an airplane crash. The singer moved back to Woodville to be
with her family and regroup. Years later, finding comfort in a guitar,
she decided to teach herself the chords. The new-found hobby led Kree
to writing her own songs at the age of 14. She decided it was time to
head back to Nashville and pursue her country music career. After
moving back to Music City, Kree found herself in writing sessions with
well-known songwriters such as Trey Buce (“Look Heart, No Hands” -
Randy Travis) and artist Rebecca Lynn Howard.

Shortly after gaining connections, Kree signed a publishing deal with
Chrysalis at 16, which at the same time had acts such as KingBIlly and
Chris Janson. She found herself playing in well known venues around
town including 3rd & Lindsley and the Bluebird Cafe. As Kree began
recording an album, with at the time producer Trey Bruce, she was once
again in a devastating predicament - her mother had passed away in a
car crash. Her priorities shifted as she traveled back and forth from
Texas to Nashville, wanting to be in two places at once.

After many tribulations, the 20 year-old, who is no longer with
Chrysalis, met with Mary Loving, Executive Travel and Event
Coordinator at BMI, and made affiliations with the company. Since then
she has performed at BMI showcases in Florida, such as the “Key West
Songwriters Festival” and the “San Destin Music Festival.” The
21-year-old is currently writing songs with Nashville songwriters such
as Natalie Hemby, Trent Dabbs, and Jeffrey Steele. You can find her
performing at venues around Nashville such as 3rd & Lindsley, The
Basement, and Hotel Indigo. As Kree continues to put all the pieces
together, she hopes to put out an album within the year.
