Started as a 5 piece, continued as a one piece.
I am a solo "Death Metal" artist. My artist name is Vlad, my actual name is Anthony House.
I make all of my music for myself, though I make it available to listen to.
All of my albums are concept albums.
All my music is on YouTube, user HIGHxONxDEATH, all my lyrics are at darklyrics.com/v/vlad.html
I am independently composed, recorded, and produced.
I program my drums, though all other instruments used are authentic.
I do not write any of my music on the computer other than the drums.
I do not work in a professional studio, I make my own studio wherever I happen to be staying.
Everywhere that I've stayed so far I haven't been allowed to play the drums. Vlad may or may not have programmed drums for it's whole existence, only time will tell. The point is, I enjoy it. If you don't, don't listen to it.
Typically, I use my B.C.Rich "Son of Beast" guitar for the lead, rhythm, and bass tracks; if not my guitar for bass, I use a Fender Squire. My amp is a Line-6 Spider III, 15 watt. I generally use the "Insane" setting. I use Monster guitar cables and standard humbucker pickups. I do not use pedals. My drum machine is Hydrogen 2.0, and my recording/audio engineering software is Audacity. To record, I use an M-audio interface and Shure mics. My vocals have minimal effects, I basically only use echo on them- It is extremely rare that I use any others, so you are hearing my voice.
I attempt to create very straight forward, raw, heavy, and even punishing music with lyrics to match it.
My lyrical content is majorly centered around Duality, Light, Darkness, Life, Death, Good, Evil, Spirituality, Nihility, Past, Present, Future, Anger&Misery, and Triumph&Transcendence. I also touch upon alternate dimensions, Gods and the perception of God/s, society and it's evil, and the emotions faced as a human being dehumanized.
I have general influences from these bands just from loving their music;
Sometimes I incorporate influence from bands like
Cradle of Filth
Howls of Ebb
and I'm a huge fan of the album "We Are The Void" from Dark Tranquility.
I like more music than what I am influenced by.
As far as merchandise goes, I can not afford to produce any T-shirts or C.D.s at the moment; as I am the only person involved with this, I have no outside help to go toward merchandising. I make no money from making music, though I would like to be able to put money into the music itself. I don't even have my own shirt or C.D.s, so please enjoy my music for free on my YouTube channel HIGHxONxDEATH.
