Sugar Tease is an American Feminine Rock (Fem-Rock) band which formed in Portland, Oregon in 2011. The band consists of Christine Long (vocals), Amie Scott (rhythm and lead guitar), Teal Bailey (bass), John reverend chainsaw (drums)
The two founding members, Christine and Amie, met via a Craigslist ad and found they had an instant musical chemistry and unique connection. Coming from varied styles of pop and rock music, they decided to merge their knowledge and experiences into Sugar Tease. The name came from Christine’s recent battle with Stage IV Breast Cancer and is meant to embrace feminism and to defy stereotypes.
Pairing the two performance veterans with the two incredibly talented younger members (whose influences were punk, metal and alternative) the band exploded onto the scene and immediately generated wide-spread interest. The collective influences created a fresh and modern sound. With piercing vocals, infectious melodies, signature guitar riffs, intricate bass lines, and melodic percussion, the band appeals to fans across genres and gender.
