On the mellow and eye catching island of Kauai, Skunkdog is making some noise. Rocking out with a familiar yet unique sound, they continue to rattle the window panes of these streets.
The trio is known for their original style, mixing it up with rock, reggae, punk, funk, ska, hip hop, and whatever else they feel like!!! They have Hawaii's island style, surfing soul, and an audience appeal, that spans all ages and most musical tastes.
Skunkdog keeps it lively at the shows with a high energy performance and hooky melodies that are bound to stick in your head. After playing rocking local venues, the county fair, various festivals, and touring throughout the islands, the boys have had the awesome opportunity to play in line ups that included “COOLIO“, the punk pioneers, "THE VANDALS" with drummer JOSH FREESE at Hard Rock Café on Maui,SASHAMON, THE THROWDOWNS, DONAVON FRANKENREITER, and PEPPER just to name a few. Skunkdog is on a mission to move forward, exploring bigger challenges, always looking to progress, reaching more and more people with their music.
Skunkdog is definitely gaining momentum with regular radio play on "mainstream" stations such as Kauai's Kong 93.5 , JAMZ 98.1, Island Radio 98.9, KKCR 91.9. They have landing guest appearance spots on Maui's Wild 105, Q103, and 96.7, along with Oahu's college radio. Skunkdog has been featured in many of Hawaii's major media including the Star Bulletin, Honolulu Advertiser, Maui News, Maui Weekly, Kauai People, The Garden Island Newspaper, etc. If you are one of those avid watchers of Billabong TV you may have heard the band, where they’re songs “Time” and “Enough” where featured behind some of the sport’s most epic surf footage. They have been hard at work promoting themselves and do well to promote the shows they play. In result the band has definitely been turning heads.
