It was the week of Saint Patrick’s Day and I (as a member of the Celtic band Boys of the Town) was busy with gigs on six of the seven nights that week. And what did I do with my night off? I pulled out my guitar and played for myself. It’s the music...Celtic, Spanish, folk…it’s all great. There’s just not enough time in the day to play it all.
Whether I am playing the flute, guitar, penny whistle, or bodhrán (sometimes I play all the instruments in these recordings thanks to the miracle of studio mixing, and sometimes I am accompanied by friends), I play for the love of music. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.
Friends who have joined me on some of these recordings includes Chris Maden and John Ebersold.
