New Jersey transplant, Erasto, now calls Washington DC home. His name means "Man of Peace" and that peace can be found tucked into the melodies that float on rythmic latin, jazz and hip hop beats. With creative riffs, a progressive edge, and a voracious appetite for simplicity, this multi-instrumentalist takes his vision across divergent genres. Erasto was inspired by his uncle, Lewis Hamlin Jr., who directed James Brown's Band in the early years of his career. "I remember seeing my uncles band perform when I was a teenager. I watched my uncle, originally a trumpet player, move from sax to piano to guitar. I was amazed and knew that's what i wanted to do." Erasto is quickly heating up the DC undergound music scene, working on projects with a select group of DC artists. As one of the founding members of New Jerseys "Black Frost", he continues to build on the sound that made the band so popular in the mid 1980s.
