When Maria Quiles & Rory Cloud first joined together in 2011, there was an instant spark of creativity. The blend of their two styles fit together in a way that takes some groups years to achieve. Their mutual respect, and ability to listen informed their music and brought out a layer of emotion that instantly elevated the energy of their compositions.
This radiance is present throughout the group's sophomore release, Seminole Star. With the addition of Oscar Westesson on upright bass, as well as special guests Julian Müller, Irene Sazor and Megan Slankard; the new album showcases a complex and diverse range of tones and color. The album was recorded live to 2" tape at OTR Studios in Belmont, CA with Cookie Marenco, a legend in the high resolution audio world with a masterful ear for live recording.
