Celina burst on to the scene in the hallway of the Bellevue Washington hospital. She started her music career at an early age when her family relocated from Willingboro, NJ to Atlanta, Ga. The art of music runs deep in her veins so when she and her sister discovered the rapidly growing music industry in the south, they got to work. They were a part of several girl groups including a group formed by Keith Sweat but quickly realized that keeping it in the family was a better route for them. Celina joined the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation of Performing Arts and that changed her life forever. As a teen mom, Celina learned about core life values and was promoted to Artistic Director to teach the influences of Tupac to the children for over seven years. Presently, she is dedicated to the operation and growth of her non-profit organization C Life’s Fulfillment Inc., a non-profit geared towards developing youth in the creative arts and life skills.
Another pivotal point in Celina's life came when she made a correlation between her music and her faith. She ministered at various churches and released an EP called Marked Ministry with the youth ministry of Stronghold Christian Church. Apart from her individual attributes like working with the likes of Natalie Cole, Ashford & Simpson, Gerald Levert, and tour managing for Jamie Grace, Celina is 1/4 of the family band NXN & Eclectic Soul of Nixon Hits Entertainment. Singing alongside her sister and two brothers they have been performing for years at several venues and events like Hard Rock Cafe, Stone Mountain Jazz by the Lake, Coca Cola Banquets and many more private shows.
Celina's music blood line resonates back to legendary musicians like Larry Blackmon with Cameo, Kenny Gamble and Craig White from Sound of Philadelphia Studios, Billy Ward and the Dominos, and Clara Ward and the Ward Singers to name a few. So music will never die for this talented woman. At this juncture, Celina has accepted her God-given purpose in music to be a driving force and advocate of peace, love, and unity to influence positive change in the world. Catch Celina doing shows and promoting her upcoming album, “Purple Heart” dropping this Spring 2017!
