The Joy Kills are an up and coming rock n' roll band that just escaped from your real dad's vinyl collection. Hailing from Atlanta GA, this four-piece is best described as a mixture of heavy blues and proto-punk: Think Black Sabbath sexes Jay Reatard; no condom. Since their inception in 2011 the band has spent most of 2012 on the road and in the underbelly of Atlanta's Garage-Punk scene. The Joy Kills don't seek to emulate that tried and true sound, but rather reinvigorate it from the ground up and are quickly establishing themselves as one of the preeminent live acts in their hometown and the region. January 2013 saw the release of their debut album, "Danced to Death", produced and recorded at Sonica Studios with Atlanta recording juggernaut John Briglevich. Since the release, The Joy Kills are focused on their upcoming tours throughout the Southeast and whatever prospects the future may bring.
