Fallen Theory was formed on August 1st, 2010. With a fan base, accolades, and big plans all spurring from the Eugene based quintet, the band continues to grow both in artistry while gaining healthy regional popularity. Fallen Theory quickly gained the attention of the public through their intense performances, sold out shows, and by engaging the crowd in a show that renders everyone amazed which keeps them coming back for more.
The band has stepped into their own and continues to be one of the bigger names in the Pacific Northwest scene. Their music has gathered the attention of large promoters, venues, and independent labels throughout the US.
With the release of their debut album ‘Ghost’ the band has been busy touring all over the Pacific Northwest in support of their album. They continue to headline almost every show they play and have been asked to be direct support for national headlining bands. Fallen Theory has been setting things into motion for their national tour to support their upcoming second album. With the ever changing music industry they continue to push to new boundaries with their music. The second album, which is not yet titled, is doing just that – pushing new boundaries and sounds to capture the attention of one of the fastest growing and changing industries. “We feel everyone will be pleasantly surprised with what’s to come on the second album. We have changed up our sound while still keeping the foundation that our fans have come to know and love about our music. We’re upping the ante and pushing the boundaries of heavy, melodic, and groove. We promise this album will not be disappointing to say the least.”
They will be entering the studio this fall to start recording their self-produced upcoming second album. “We feel the best way to do the album this time around is to start with a solid foundation of songs and build the studio tones around the songs rather than just slapping tones on we prefer. We really want the sounds to compliment the nature of the song and that’s exactly what’s happening. All we can say is it sounds amazing so far.”
This is the strongest, most creative, and in-tune the band has ever felt. “This lineup is what sets us apart and makes us who we are.” The music takes a hold of you, takes you to that place that you can only get to through music and keeps you there. It’s expression, passion and an all out assault on your senses that takes you with it and leaves you feeling amazing afterward.
Fallen Theory is now John Birks on lead/rhythm guitar, Brandon McConnell on lead/rhythm guitar, James Dunning on drums, Chris Brock on bass and backing vocals, and Tanner Cowens engaging the front of house as Fallen Theory’s lead vocals. “Our chemistry is unlike any other. All I can say is you need to prepare yourself for what’s to come. Once you hear the music, there is no escaping. It envelops you and takes you along for one of the best rides you could ever imagine.” The music speaks for itself. It is powerful, melodic, slow, heavy and everything in between. This is a full sound that is guaranteed to catch the attention of fans from all genres of music.
