Redline / Bio

New Jersey native, Will "Redline" Bottorff, came into this world on June 15th, 1987. Born in Englewood, NJ, his family moved down to the shore in the early 90's. Will was always interested in writing music, putting his drawings of future album covers in empty jewel cases even as far back as kindergarten. Writing songs at 10, recording at 12, and performing at 16, he knew what he wanted to do with his life at an early age. Heavily influenced by artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Kool G Rap, Big L, Big Pun, Nas, Jay-Z, Slim Shady, and many more, he developed a very sharp, precise rhyme style. Putting more and more time into his verses, his life became centered around music. Up until the age of 16, his rhyming hobby seemed to be just for fun. That is until he started selling his own recordings on burnt CD's in school. Shortly after he began performing at open mics, talent searches, and other contests. Gaining people's opinions/respect helped him mold his style and grow musically. The sound that defines Redline continued to evolve in the years to follow. In 2008, he met his long time collaborator and partner in crime, Audio Rohn. Along with his brother, Magic Hands, the three went on to form the Pharmacy Rx. Almost 4 years and hundreds of songs later, the trio is ready to put out the first official Rx release.

Over the last couple years he's been putting together his record, Meet The Villain: The Director's Cut, his first "real" project. The concept for this project is to be an audio version of a vintage horror movie. It takes you on an adventure with surprises around every turn. Now complete, with the top-notch production of Audio Rohn, Magic Hands, and Y?Arcka, the sharp rhymes of Redline, and the raw cuts of DJ Rob Swift of the legendary X-ecutioners, this debut album is sure to please anybody who gives it a good listen; both sonically and conceptually. It brings a certain dynamic to the table, with different types of songs aimed for a wide audience of listeners. With appearances by some of the nicest emcees of the New Jersey underground, Meet The Villain: The Director's Cut is just the beginning of what promises to be a long journey filled with hard beats, dope rhymes, and deep cuts. Stay tuned for this newcomer in 2012, he plans to stick around a while...
