Since its formation in the Spring of 2011, Restoring Kaos (known then as The Columbian Necktie) has steadily established itself as a part of the Danish metal environment, playing shows all over Denmark and catching the attention of fans with an energetic and fun-loving live show. It is of great importance to the band that the audience has as much fun as possible, thus the live performance shows a band with a natural and unblemished love for playing aggressive music.
The name change from The Columbian Necktie to Restoring Kaos has been a natural part of the band’s evolution and maturing process. The name fits the band’s anarchistic approach to creating something unique as well as the frenetic energy displayed at their live performances.
The band’s song writing is based on equal participation from all four members forming a strong, creative unity, which has evolved greatly in the last year and a half. Their hard work can be heard on the five songs of the new EP entitled ‘Infected By Your Stupidity’. Perfecting the fresh and unique combination of influences from technical hardcore and 90s/early 2000s nu-metal introduced on last year’s three-song EP, ‘Infected By Your Stupidity’ shows the band’s love for combining various styles of metal and hardcore into a well balanced and powerful statement of brutality and melody. Vocalist Morten Kofoed’s angry lyrics depict tortured memories of lust and love lost delivered with desperate and ferocious hardcore screams with momentary displays of guttural growls and high-pitched shrieks. This new EP release shows a more focused and mature band coming into its own and establishing itself as a strong entity within Danish metal.
