The Midnight Antics / Bio

Riding on the back of a fantastic last few months of live shows, the Midnight Antics are poised to release their debut EP entitled Cragsford.

With the help of Love Street Studios producer Scott French (a French Butler called Smith, Taylor, Rhea Robinson) the lads from the Gold Coast were able to capture the true energy, intensity and raw musicianship that their live shows are known for. The icing on the cake came from Paul Blakey of 12th & Vine Post (Busby Marou, Bleeding Knees Club, Loustar) who mastered the EP.

With the striking combination of acoustic guitar, screaming solos and beats that just make you want to dance, each song on the EP presents something different. The band's influences - which range from Bob Dylan to Slash - are clearly heard but are met head on with their own blend of good-time Rock n Roll.

The band released two of the tracks on their Facebook page in 2012, both of which enjoyed regular playtime on Rabbit & Cocoon's own radio station Rabbit Radio and the upcoming release looks set to follow suit.

Among a swathe of live shows planned for the upcoming months which include Hard Rock Café’s Hard Rock Rising Band Competition & Mt Nathan Jam Festival, the Antics are launching their EP with a bang at The Loft, Chevron Island, on the 16th March. Information about the event can be found on the band's Facebook page.
