Kambio is a producer/rapper that hails from the twin island republic of Trinidad & Tobago.
Although soca/calypso is the preferred genre of music where he comes from, Kambio finds himself heavily indulged in Rap/R&B music. Influenced by the pioneers like Nas, 2pac, Bustarhymes, Biggie Smalls, The Fugees among many others, Kaly chooses the path that will put him into the eyes of many. “Tone Loc’s Loc-Ed After Dark album was the first rap album I’ve ever listened to but I got to admit but, it was Jay Z’s album Unreasonable doubt that changed the way I think and left a lasting impression on me, that from thereon I started producing beats” Kambio explains. With the help of two close acquaintances Kambio observes and pays close attention for long periods to the art of producing, till one day he finally decided to give it a try. He’s never learned to read music or even play an instrument but he steadily grasp to the new found love. Probably it came to him easily since upon researching within his family line he discovers that music runs deeply “in his blood” so it was all a matter of time before he tapped into this energy.
