I am a rapper, singer, dancer and a model. I am currently a criminal justice major, where i am looking to become a model officer if the music doesn't fall through. However its highly unlikely that it wont fall through so until then im grinding and holding the ropes. Anyways.... I'm the daughter of a single parent, all my life i watched my mom go through her ups and downs, and the only thing that would help me escape was music and poetry. I have been writing music since i was 5 years old with the help of my oldest brother whom declined a deal to sign with the group Outkast due to personal reasons. My style is so hard to narrow it down to whom i sound like, to be frank i sound like my self, i have traveled the United States with my brother and i have also lived in many states. In the same token, along the way i have picked up different ways of life different slang different styles of dress, and i can only describe this as my own subculture. Generally speaking my favorite states would have to be Chicago,Atlanta, and California. I havent made it to New York yet but hopefully I will one day real soon! Music has all ways been my heart and safeplace away from the world. It started off with my brother helping me making nursery rhymes with my ABC's, in then we amped it up to full sentences, from there to me recording on a tape recorder to his studio equiptment. I still have the first tape I ever did! The reason all of my songs sound so versatile is beacuse of the beats, i will hear a beat and invision scenes of me in videos as the beat plays and ill ride the beat from there. This is usually how my story lines play out and this is where my video concepts began to get rather unique. The biggest misconception people have about me is that im from the suburbs, or im of a jamaican or african background and that im a singer when really all of these misconceptions aren't true and they only add to my talent and uniqueness as an artist...In other words people stereotype me alot...It always tickles me for somebody to ask me to rap. They will stare and i'll kinda string them along by acting scared or saying two or three words real slow, and then ill just come out of nowhere and become this femme fatale. And afterwards i get nothing but smiles and poeple telling me who they know, and telling me they know people that do music, and asking me if i wanna do shows with them...lol its always weird to me when they do that! However this is why i consider my self a threat a TRIPLE THREAT! and you are have just witnessed The Rise of Yin!
