Jose Albela is a solo Acoustic finger-style guitarist and a finalist in 'Acoustic Guitarist Of The Year 2011'.
Gathering his techniques and inspiration from the best of Flamenco, Blues and Celtic folk and fusing them together Jose has created a unique, captivating and exciting performance.
Brought up in Brixton South London, by Irish and Spanish parents, Jose has grown up with an eclectic taste and love for all types of music. Over the last 7 years Jose has performed with artists: Angie Brown (Fatboy Slim, Bizarre inc.), Lifford (Artful Dodger) and Alison David (Red Snapper) to name a few... Jose has collaborated on recordings which have aired on 'BBC Radio 6 music', Radio Reverb, and has supported artists such as 'Broadcast 2000' and Tim Burgess from the highly successful Britpop band 'The Charlatans' . Jose's own compositions featured on the film 'Strange New World'- Directed & produced by Edward Hicks for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with support from principal partner 'Warner Bros' and at the age of 23 is being compared to legendary artists such as Bert Jansch, Davy Graham and John Martyn.
