St. Phillip's Escalator / Bio

St. Phillip’s Escalator were formed by guitarist/vocalist Ryan Moore, drummer Zachary Koch, and bass guitarist Noel Wilfeard in their hometown of Rochester, New York. The band instantly became a crowd favorite with their unique and fervid take on psychedelia and blues; easily climbing atop the wave of the garage rock revival movement of the mid-2000s, all while barely being out of their teenage years.

Their live shows have been described as a blurring of the lines between the sounds of some of their musical heroes such as The Rolling Stones, The Who, Blue Cheer and The 13th Floor Elevators, amongst others. They rose to further critical acclaim with the release of their debut album “Endless Trip” which garnered airplay on various alternative radio stations and abroad. Their song “Cross the Line” was featured in the top 20 of Italy’s L’Alternativa Radio.
