On 11th November 2008, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Beckwith released his single ‘You’re that kind of girl.’ Which within two weeks of release was premiered nationally on Radio by legendary DJ Ronnie Herel, awarded BBC 1xtra single of the week by Ras Kwame, video premiered by Channel U (Now AKA), in rotation with Hot 97 New York, charting at #1 on the itunes independent R&B charts while entering the Billboard R&B charts at #99.
This was followed up by the Critically Acclaimed single Soulful Women which was a huge underground success. Astounding Critics and fans alike.
The Free Mixtape 'Ghost Protocol Volume 1' was the first UK R&B release to be awarded a Silver status with over 50,000 downloads. The project spawned 3 videos including the Marc Gordon video of the week winner 'Better Days.;
To celebrate the half decade anniversary of the song written by Beckwith, writing partner Marvin Ambrosius (Nas, The Game) and Pascal ‘Claps’ Guyon (Leona Lewis, Heavy D) Song Rebel Records will be releasing a special remix produced by KC Sounds featuring the legendary rapper and member of the Hip Hop Super group Brand Nubian, Sadat X.
“Your That Kind of Girl” will be released on 23rd November 2013 and will be made available to buy/download in all digital music retailers from iTunes to Amazon.
The single release will be the prerequisite to the album Beckwith – The Singles Collection which will be made available in the first quarter of 2014.
