The Shelter Dogs / Bio

The Shelter Dogs were created one dark and stormy night in the Fall of 2010 by Guitarist/Singer Pete Bullard (Michael May Band, Wixom Slim, The Terraplanes) and Bassist/Singer Todd Perkins (Blue Front Persuaders, Big Dave & The Ultrasonics, Michael Katon Band) as a way to explore their shared love of Old-School Swing, Blues, Lounge and Rockabilly music. A few months later, Drummer and Vocalist Tom Twiss (Al Hill, The Martindales, The Prodigals) was drafted into the band, opening the group up into a trio. In the short time since their beginnings, The Shelter Dogs have received a good deal of critical acclaim and audiences are happily enjoying the groove! The Dogs have two CDs, "American Classic" (featuring the full electric band) and "Natural Beauty" (a nearly-unplugged album with Upright Bass, Guitar and Snare with Brushes), and are now working on the next album while playing shows around the Midwest.
