Dusty "Low Down, Dirty Rotten" Robison began playing music at the age of 12 and never looked back.
Having been brought up by a mixture of musicians in and around his family, he quickly developed musical
skills. By mixing certain genre's of music together throughout the years Dusty has created his own
original sound. In 2004, he joined the band A.D.D and was featured on the album 'Moodswings'. Later
that year A.D.D featured as the supporting act for Shooter Jennings and Teddy Gieger at The Cains
Ballroom in Tulsa, OK. Later, he went on to play with Optimistic To A Fault and Standing Ape Count.
Having won Gorilla Production's Battle of the Bands, Standing Ape Count received a twenty hour
recording session and released their album "Muda Erph" in 2009. In 2010 he signed a recording contract
at Deka Records with a band called, Zero Crossing. Dusty wrote and co-produced the tittle track of Zero
Crossing's album, 'Story of My Life'. Later, that same year, he was featured in two separate groups
that were nominated for three Absolute Best Of Tulsa music awards. Rap/Rock group, The Ne'er Do Well,
was nominated for Best Hip Hop and featured as the supporting act for Bone Thugs at The Cains Ballroom
in Tulsa, OK. Southern Rock group, Ransom James, was nominated for Best Newcomer and Best Live Rock
Band of the year. Later, the group recorded the album, 'Uncle Don's Appleshine' and took a tour to
Memphis on 'The American Hero Ride'. All proceeds from the album went to the Veterans Hospital in
Memphis TN. In Sept. 2011, Dusty performed with Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame member, Curly 'No Shoes'
Jr. at The Eighth Annual Tulsa Blues Challenge. In That same month he went on to perform with yet
another Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame member, Harry Williams, at The Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame 'Dusk
Til Dawn' festival in Rentiesville, OK. In March, 2012, Dusty performed with Oklahoma Blues Hall of
Fame member, Johnny Rawls, at The Cimarron Bar in Tulsa, OK. Since then Dusty has shared the stage with
local legends and Hall of Fame members such as Rocky Frisco, Bob Withrow, Danny Baker, Billy Snow, International Blues Challenge Winner of The Solo Division-Joe MacLerran and
Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame Co-founder, Selby Miner. On August 24th, 2013, Dusty was featured in the
Jason Ferguson Band as the opening act for the band Aranda at The Cains Ballroom. Once again, on Nov.
1st, 2013, Dusty performed with yet another local Tulsa, OK group Young Lyons, opening the show for
Motion City Soundtrack and Reliant K at The Cains Ballroom. Dusty is a former member of The Kevin
Pharris Band, The O.T.S.B., Velly Vel and The Krackerz and is currently maintaining his solo project,
Dirty Rotten. Dusty is also the co-founder of Blues Rock group, The $5 Sugar. This band went on to
become #1 on The Reverbnation Blues Charts in Oklahoma after releasing two full length albums, featured
on 97.5 KMOD Friday Morning Live w Phil and Brent three times and won the Oklahoma Blues Challenge in
2012. As a reward the group had the honor of performing on BB Kings stage in The 2013 International
Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN on historic Beale St. On January 28th 2014, Dusty auditioned for
America's Got Talent in Nashville, TN with musical comedy act, Velly Vel and The Krackerz. 2014, Dusty
filled in on bass for local Tulsa group Society Society, performing twice in Kansas City and once in
Tulsa at The Vanguard. 2014, THE BOOGIE, a three piece Blues, Rock N Soul, Groove band based out of
Tulsa, Oklahoma. A lively form of music, based on the roots of the Blues and Soul. Winners of The 11th
Annual Blues Society of Tulsa Blues Challenge and represented Northeastern Oklahoma in The
International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, January, 2015, at Coyote Ugly Saloon. The Boogie has
performed on KTUL Good Morning Oklahoma, Coyote Ugly and Jerry Lee Lewis's Bar in Memphis, TN, The
Route 66 Marathon, Cains Ballroom, Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame Dusk til Dawn Festival, Sapulpa Main St.
Music Festival, The Norman Music Festival (Headlining Act), Jenks 4th Of July Celebration and The
Backwoods Bash Festival just to name a few. The Boogie has currently released their first self titled,
self produced E.P., a single available on Digital Distribution entitled, 'Take Me Back To Tulsa' as
well as a special limited edition 2015 International Blues Challenge album. He has been quoted to be
one of the strongest, most versatile bassist in Oklahoma. He has set his sites high in the music
industry and aim's to be inducted into The Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame in the not so distant future.
