Longtime friends Harrison Stone, Marc Shapiro, Carson Korman, and Dave Cavalier (pictured; left to right) formed
The Rez in the summer of 2006. Born of a desire to transcend genres and blend their diverse tastes and inspirations into something new and unique, The Rez has been constantly exploring and reinventing itself.
The result? An ever-changing yet always distinct sound that doesn't just rock, but rolls.
Drawing influence from the likes of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Talking Heads, The Rez's subtle 90s rock vibe combined with a healthy dose of modern and progressive acrobatics makes the group an anomaly on the Baltimore music scene.
Now, more than six years in, the band is still evolving. With two EPs recorded, they're about to enter the studio to record their first ever full-length album. It will consist of entirely brand new material.
Expected release date: Summer 2013.
The Rez creates provocative and playful music that challenges listerners to think, to feel, to laugh, and to open their minds to something new and unexpected.
