Reggae/Rock is not dead. It lives in Fresno, California through DB and the Struggle, a local collective of talented musicians who forged a unique Reggae-Funk sound with socially and politically conscious lyrics. The bands influences range from James Brown and Otis Redding to Bob Marley and Sublime. Some DB and the Struggle songs are potent social and political anthems, while others are not afraid to find... humor in every day life. Nearly every song has a dance floor friendly groove that will have listeners on their feet in no time. The band has recently released an album, "Street Scars," and is set to start recording it's sophmore album September of 2011. For now, you can catch them playing all around the valley, central coast, and the Pacific Northwest.
