Abe Lamberts / Bio

For Abe Lamberts the roots of the music go back to an early age when a banjo player left an impression on him at the age of 5. My mother told me stories of grandpa sitting on the porch, playing guitar, and singing the "Yellow Rose of Texas" to grandma. Grandpa was my hero and from that day I was determined to learn guitar".

In 1996, at age fourteen, Abe picked up a guitar with no strings in his grandmother's house and began teaching himself chords. By 2001 Abe was performing at every county fair talent show and his voice quickly drew comparison to country greats such as Johnny Cash and Randy Travis. The inspiration comes from these greats as well as countless others from the "Three chords and the truth" mantra from Harlan Howard to the inspired delivery of Don Williams and the true life gravel in the vocals of Kris Kristofferson each ones left a mark on the music and songwriting of Abe.

Abe since performed at both the Iowa and Minnesota State Fairs.

In 2007 Abe performed at the Highway 61 Folk Festival and was chosen as one of the featured performances to be featured on the 6th Annual Folk Festival Album featuring a live recording of Abe's song "I Look Again".

Abe started indie label Silvertip Records and released a full length Christian/Gospel Album "Show Me The Way" in 2010. Four of the songs from this album are written by Abe- the rest are traditional Church hymns and songs. This Album features the vocal talents of the Talented vocalist and musician Dave Olson. Several of the songs from this Album have received radio airplay around the nation.

In 2010 Abe also released "Chevy and A Ford" as a single under the Silvertip Records Label. This single has received numerous great reviews from fans and undustry experts alike and has received airplay in 18 states and 6 countries.

In Novemver 2015 Abe has made a renewed commitment to making music again. Forced into inactivity through a serious knee injury and the subsequent surgery Abe wrote his most current song "Tough Times, Tough People" which will be featured on a release in 2016.

In 2016 plans are moving ahead for the recording and release of three works.

February 2016 Album "Night Songs"

June 2016 Album "Unusual Man"

October 2016 Christmas Album release - project with Dave Olson
