Boys Next Door are pretty much a Portland "institution"- and not in the insane kind of way. Entertaining literally hundreds of thousands of fans over the years, the band has been performing at the Dublin Pub for longer than any other band has played at any other bar you can think of. That's quite an accomplishment in an age and a town where bands come and go like the changing seasons. As for the music- imagine a virtual jukebox of most of your favorite songs from the 60s through the 00s. Everything from AC/DC to Green Day; Brown Eyed Girl to Turnin' Japanese; and a boatload in between. Though throwing in an original by one of the band's songwriters every now and again, Boys Next Door are the quintessential cover band. Yell out a song and they're likely to learn it and play it for you on the spot! You'll be hard pressed not to dance like there's no tomorrow to their upbeat, edgy interpretations of classic and modern rock. Ask any Portlander, and they're likelier than not to know of and have seen Boys Next Door at the Dublin Pub on a Friday night. A brief band history: Lead singer/guitarist Josh Millman played in the popular Portland original band The Superficials, who have had songs in multiple MTV shows and put out 4 CDs. He is also a voiceover actor and is the announcer in the Wii Sports video game! Bassist/vocalist Patrick Young was in the uber-rockin' 80s outfit Black n' Blue opening for Aerosmith and Kiss. He has played in lots of other bands including Business Suit Guy and Plum. Drummer/vocalist Brad Pharis has played in many punk/pop/rock bands such as Ms. 45, Surf Cowboys, and The Screaming Muchachos, as well as having put out his own CD "Planet 10". Looking forward to seeing you soon!
