May Day Riots / Bio

May Day Riots (named after the Cleveland riots of 1919) is an explicit crust punk / punk metal act out of Akron, OH. They are influenced by other punk acts such as Anti-Flag, NOFX, Wilhelm Scream, Blink-182, and Bad Religion mixed with hard core acts such as Black Flag and Suicidal Tendencies, along with metal acts such Suicide Silence and Cradle of Filth.

As part of the Akron punk underground, May Day Riots is working to call attention to the underground punk scene, to help show the world the level of talent and badassery that the Akron punk scene has to offer. They play this music because that's what they do. If we were famous, or if we never made it beyond northeast Ohio, we would still be playing the same thing.

Akron is their town, it's in their blood, and they will continue to scream about it for as long as they can.
