Mba A.k.a Shock Treatment consists of one rapper (Mba Shakoor), and a singer (Anna Cymerman) . This Duo was formed during a recording session a few years ago where individuals who didn’t know each other began to exchanged ideas about music and immediately realized that they were meant to record together. Their debut self-titled CD was released in 2008.
Shock Treatment’s latest release “Memory Glitch” is a CD filled with great hip-hop pop dance songs that capture the essence of hip-hop pop past and present. The lead single “Free” is just one example of this merging of styles. The song’s theme is learning how to become free from all life’s restraints such as stress, trauma and drama. It was created to inspire people, to empower people, and to create maximum impact as the tone and the force clearly dictates. Shock Treatment played overseas throughout Europe, and made appearances on European talent shows, such as; Must Be The Music Poland, and Poland’s Got Talent. Soon back in the States, Shock Treatment was invited to take part of the Power 106 Battle for the Best, Who’s Next competition. They came in third place beating out thousands of artists in the Los Angeles area.

Mba's talents are spread through the entertainment industry. He is also an actor who has done numerous commercials which include but are not limited to McDonalds and Champs Sports. He has also had the privilege of working with Melissa McCarthy, Missi Pyle, academy award winner Octavia Spencer, Michael Chiklis from the hit FX TV show The Shield and Vivica A. Fox on the feature film Junkyard Dog, and Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson on the TNT series Murder In The First. His talents are endless showing audiences his versatility.
