Satellite Flight is a rock/pop band band formed in Cincinnati, OH.
The current lineup consists of Darwin Darling (lead vocals), Von Drell (lead guitar), Shane Hacker (synth/dj),
and Calvin Kelly (drums/percussion).
Reviewed by New York City-based music journalist Kevin Sellars as "Tailor-made for the stage" they are
known for their theatrical high-end imagery and high-powered live performances, with members taking the stage in
custom designed clothing, accessories, and high-fashion brands inspiring a "dream-life" atmosphere. However the theatrics don’t end
there with the band being known for doing everything from wielding confetti-cannons to throwing hundreds of roses into the crowd.
After attending a live performance Indie Authority Magazine wrote, “Are you a music lover looking for a band
that will have dancing like you have no cares in the world? Well you’ve just found them.”
Making their debut in the winter of 2014 the band became popular for their unique "high-class" themes and fashion-based imagery.
Teaming up with nationally-known music producer Colin Coffee the band has released 3 singles each of which was accompanied by a
music video and the group instantly became the go-to support act for a wide range of national artists
such as Tokio Hotel, Falling In Reverse, Metro Station, I See Stars, Sebastian Bach, and many others.
The band recently released their single "Masquerade" feature American Idol contestant and award-winning vocalist Jess Lamb
and is preparing to release new music along with a heavier touring schedule.
Their music videos are written and produced by award-nominated film company BangOut Films which is a film team consisting of
Darwin Darling (producer) and Cameron Johnson (director). The band also announced the launching of their
youtube channel "SatelliteFlightTV".
