Formed in the summer of 2010, Dogfight Diary began as a side project for former Murder Majesty members Dustin Ware, Shane Willie, and Sergio Cervantes. Dustin left Murder Majesty in August 2010 but continued rocking out with Shane and Sergio whenever the opportunity opened. They all knew that their melodic ska and pop punk needed to be heard especially with intense lyrics which revolve around heavy subjects such as depression, addiction, heartache and substance abuse. In February of 2011 Sergio left Murder Majesty to focus entirely on Dogfight Diary, with Shane following soon after. After many rigorous practices the guys got their chance to record a demo. As they recorded tracks a problem arose as they realized a second guitar player was gonna be needed. The band then hit up Nicholas Sacco, also a former Murder Majesty member, to try out. The trio became a quartet. Unfortunately things didn't go to well and Nick ended up living the group a few months later. Once again the band became a trio for another year until a drunk phone call and conversation occurred at a party with Matt Nakagawa, who by coincidence had also tried out for Murder Majesty. They set up a try out which was successful leading to Matt being the newest member of the band. Now Dogfight Diary is writing awesome new music and will be blowing your minds in the near future.
