Bankrupt District is part of the toiling masses that turn the gears of the globe. The music they play stems from the frustration of watching their hometown of Vallejo thrive and dive in these tough economic times. Bankrupt District formed in February 2011 born out of the need to play gut honest, toe tapping punk rock influenced by U.S. and Philippine bands. Their sound borrows from the Swingin Utters and the Misfits as well as Philippine bands, the Urban Bandits and Dead Ends. It's part mid tempo rock n' roll and part working class, sing-a-long punk with topics about intoxication, horror movies and immigration. Bankrupt District has shared the stage with La Plebe, Pressure Point, Tried and True, Pinata Protest, The V-Town Have Nots, Blown to Bits and Ill Content. The band is currently writing new material and will record a full length soon. Contact: email@example.com
