Shane is a proud Canadian, born in Edmonton, Alberta at 3:30pm on a bright sunny day in September. Both parents are accomplished artists, his father a portrait artist and mother a performer, singer and songwriter most noted for working with Roy Orbison among many others. An ongoing suspicion that her live performances until 8 months pregnant with Shane 'may' have led to his lifelong passion and inept sense of rhythm.
Shane's soul is in country music. Growing up in northern Alberta, the heart of cattle and oil country provided never ending sources of inspiration and culture. At the tender age of 3 years Shane literally couldn't get his fingers off of the piano. Still today he claims that playing the piano is his greatest source of serenity and meditation. Although many times throughout his childhood conventional music training was offered, Shane always chose to keep music as a very personal journey turning down the opportunities to be classically trained and walk the path on his own.
As a young adult many opportunities were presented and Shane performed regularly with a variety of bands. Through a love for networking with other musicians of any style Shane became a favorite guest on stage with many acts including blues, rock, & top 40 bands. An offer to pursue a different direction and change focus to Top 40 was at the time too exciting to pass up, Shane re-tooled his feel and style and began what would become 10 years of touring, writing, and recording within the genre. The culmination of these experiences and best successes would be over 1000 live shows to audiences of up to 30,000, international tours through Canada, United States, Australia, and Asia including 6 months performing at the World Trade Center in Beijing, China for dignitaries from around the globe, and a hit single synchronized by Warner Television for the hit series Felicity.
It's time to come home, to Country Music. A decision to get back to the roots of his passion has driven 14 months of exciting studio work producing 'All The Way', a full length 12 song album. Shane worked tirelessly with producer and friend Stew Kirkwood, a renowned composer and engineer at Sound Extractor Studios to achieve personal & professional satisfaction. The album set to be released in April 2012 holds much promise filled with commercially viable radio cuts, and with some luck... hit songs.
