David Maguire launched his career in 2005 with a self penned song called Close to My Heart which became an instant success. He is known for his unique guitar style and great voice which carries his songs to another level. This can be heard with his version of "Sunday Morning Coming Down" on the "Four Walls" album. The title track, "Four Walls" is a song that once you hear it you will never forget. The video for this song was shot in Wicklow Jail and directed by Steve Bloor who done a fantastic job.
In 2007 David released "Cannibals" a song written by Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler. This song was the 7th most requested Country song on Irish Country Radio in 2007.
David is currently putting the finishing touches to his second album. This album is going to catch the heart of a lot of people from across the world particularly those in the USA as David has such a strong connection with
Nashville and the fact that many of his family fled to the USA in hard times after the Irish Famine.
The songs David has recorded on his second album title "Songs For Sale" are mostly self penned hence the title. David is already establishing himself as a top singer/songwriter in Ireland but also in the U.K and USA too.
Bookies are tipping the new album to go into the Top Ten within the first week.
