Herd of Wasters are a melodic brand of punk rock and rollers from the city of Saskatoon. They are inspired and influenced by altruistic ethic and raw energy of classic bands such as SNFU, Nomeansno, and the Hives. Their first three records: Just Three Dudes Havin’ A Real Good Time! (2012), Beer Whore (2012), and Asshole of Southern Alberta (2015), shows a variety of influences each member brings to the table. By either addressing serious issues in the world or singing about things they love, the band’s recorded works display a diverse and distinct sound while resting on the roots of punk rock. With their witty banter and antics for their live show, they definitely aim to entertain and please the crowd. Herd of Wasters also have a fair amount of touring and live show experience in Western Canada. They have also supported a few notable acts, including The Rebel Spell, Dayglo Abortions, and Royal Red Brigade (not to mention having breakfast and dinner with Chi Pig of SNFU on multiple occasions). The band values originality with their music and live show experience while simply doing it for the love of playing. These guys have done mostly everything on their own from artwork to vinyl pressing under their DIY record label, Wasted Wax Records. They have challenged themselves to write their best album to date and release their first full length of 20 songs in late 2016.
