Singer-songwriter Lindsey Smith, 25, of Cumming, GA is quickly catching the interest of the Atlanta music scene. She has always had a strong love of the southland, inspired by everyone from Miranda Lambert, Faith Hill, the classic sounds of the Highway Men as well as Texas Country artists such as Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers Band, and The Josh Abbott Band.
Lindsey began her musical journey just over a few years ago when she picked up a guitar for the first time while under the guidance of local guitarist Eddie Minjarez. Noticing her inherently natural feel for lyric writing, he encouraged her to focus her energy on writing original music. Lindsey began to transform her personal experiences into lyrics and found her love for songwriting and has since begun recording original music for her upcoming CD.
While Lindsey is personally growing into an artist, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with a number of local Atlanta artists such as Jeff Gardner of The Deadfields. In 2011, Lindsey was introduced to Atlanta singer John Thrasher. Captured by her voice and originality, she has appeared on performances in many Atlanta live music spots such as The Ivy, Peachtree Tavern, East Andrews, The Marlay House, and Tavern 99, among others. Currently, you can catch Smith performing with Zach Lucas as the duo “Lucas Smith"
