Christopher David / Bio

"Ain't no way to keep a band together. Bands come and go. You got to keep on playin', no matter with who."
-Del Paxton

"All you need is five strings, three notes, two fingers, and one asshole"
-Keith Richards

"Nobody ever said life was fair."
-JFK

I'm supposed to tell you "I'm a redneck country boy and I've been singing George Jones songs all my life".

blah blah blah...

But like most "Country" singers these days...that would just be bullshit.

Truth is, I was born in Western Pennsylvania...and I grew up with a good balance of blue collar, farming roots and small town living...and whole bunch of music from a whole bunch of places...not just Nashville.

I do love my family (as screwed up as it is), baseball & football, and black & white movies.

I will beat your ass for talking during The National Anthem.

My first driving lesson came at age 12 on my grandfather’s Farmall tractor...but I'm happier cruising around on my street bike (I mean actual bicycle...not a motorcycle).

I support the 2nd Amendment but hunting requires me to go lay in the snow somewhere at 5am...and that just ain't gonna happen.

My first experience with tobacco was Borkum Riff in a cherrywood pipe...not Copenhagen. And I friggin' HATE whiskey...

I grew up in the 80's...a true Mtv "Cable Brat"...parachute pants and all. Musical influences range from The Rolling Stones and The (Bloody) Who...from Dylan and Springsteen...to Cash and Jennings...from Texas country to Memphis blues. I've been known to "dork out" to anything from Robert Johnson to Katy Perry to Tony Bennett.

"Good" music is "good"...regardless of whatever label somebody insists on slapping on it.

Fronting bands for years, my resume includes well over 1000 performances sharing the spotlight with over 100 national artists, country legends, and veteran rockers. It's not bragging if you can back it up...I've been lucky enough to be around people like Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Chris LeDoux, Brett Michaels and countelss others. I'm a songwriter with studio experience and I been blessed to hear my work on Radio and TV.

I'm currently performing with Blood Money, an aggressive American Outlaw band based in Western New York. I've put together yet another band that allows me to stretch out and "try something different"...so far it is working out great! For more information on Blood Money visit www.bloodmoneyband.com .

Previous bands include:
-Bareback Jack (2000-present, Buffalo Music Awards “Hall of Achievement” Inductees...NO the band did NOT break up. We're "on vacation".)
-Rebels Posse (1998-2000, Batavia, NY...These guys still perfom regularly...so go see Todd and the gang!)
-ScareCrowe (1996-1998, Utica, NY...Ok, so this band broke up...lol!)
-Coyote Joe (1993-1995, Erie, PA...20 year reunion show maybe???)

Let me throw this in too. The coolest thing I've ever done musically...is teach my own kids how amazing music can color their life.

Travis is my eldest...and has already surpassed me as a guitarist...I'm amazed at his dedication to the instrument. And a little bit jealous! :)

Leigh is my baby...and continually reminds me that a stage is a challenge every time I step on one...and watching him light it up himself is very moving.

So there you have it...the bio of yet another redneck superstar...

Or more likely, just another guitar-toting punk who loves his family and his country.
