Tom Staab is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer with a soothing, emotionally captivating voice and melodic style. A solo project is in the works, with several songs already recorded. He is also a founding member of the successful German-American alpine rock band, 'die Schlauberger' aka dSb Alpine Thunder: contributing original songs, playing, singing and producing all 6 of their CD's as well as a concert and documentary DVD in 2010. He has sung at Carnegie Hall, Shea stadium, and Giant's stadiums. Until 2007 he was also half of the rock duo, Rhyme and Reason: singing, playing many of the instruments, as well as producing their 2007 CD 'Painted Faces.' His music has appeared on radio and TV, including MTV's True Life. He is also currently part of Cold Spring Harbor, Billy Joel tribute band, plying guitar and saxophone. His latest Folk/Americana project, Porchswing Pilots, pairs him with talented singer/multiinstrumentalist Samamtha Komaroff, focusing on acoustic style duets.
