At twenty years of age, Charlotte Forbes is an emerging independent pop-rock artist from Vancouver, BC. A multi-talented instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, Charlotte cannot remember a time when she was not fully immersed in music. Charlotte developed a keen interest for music at the young age of six, when she first took up piano lessons. Charlotte later learned to play the violin and the trombone as well, before turning her attention to singing and songwriting. By the age of twelve, Charlotte had begun recording her first demos as a singer-songwriter. Charlotte continued to record music throughout her teenage years, using her savings as a violin performer to fund her ambitions. By the age of sixteen, Charlotte had independently released her first album. A year later, Charlotte followed-up by releasing a debut music video for her song "Slow Down," a lush pop ballad with a strong lyrical message.
In her early adult years, Charlotte decided to fully dedicate herself to her musical craft. Working with a full band of highly accomplished musicians for the first time, Charlotte recorded an EP at The Warehouse Studio, one of Canada's premier recording facilities. Charlotte's EP, titled "Falling For You," is set for release in late June of 2015. Her new music has already been catching the attention of a number of local college and independent radio stations. Charlotte will be following the release of her EP with a string of live performances around the local music scene. A fresh-faced artist with a determined mindset, Charlotte is working towards her long-term goal of becoming a professional musician.
