Pete Hunt Biography-
Pete Hunt is no stranger to the music business. He grew up with a father who was a singer, entertainer, recording artist, who toured the country known as “Tony Vee”. There was always music in the house and Pete was drawn to it just as his father was. He grew up in Texas, and then spent a short time of his high school years in Hallendale, Florida playing football and creating music friends. He graduated and took a scholarship to play football at University of Southern California. His football career he hoped would continue but an unfortunately a car accident by a drunk driver ended his football career. During that time he turned more to music to fill the void of Family and friends. He continued his education to received his Associates degree in Business. Shortly after he graduated he headed to Long Island, New York, where he quickly became interested in Wall Street. After completing his Series Six License he was well on his way to the active commodity trades. He still made his weekends about music every chance he got. After a stint on Wall Street for 12 years he came back to Florida and opened his own company. Yet, there was only one thing in his mind that he had left to succeed and accomplish…” His dream of music!” Running a family life and his own business left him not much time for his music dreams… he was still writing and had the support of his friends to do his dream!
In 2006 he decided to create his own band called “Southern Branded” from his home in Brooksville, Florida.
In 2011 As things with the music and band became more successful in the local area he decided it was time to try his luck at recording his first album and record his originals he had been piling up over the years. He found a producer Andy Anderson; at Treasure Isle Recorders in Nashville; home of Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry, Trace Atkins, and so many more. Pete went into the A room at Treasure Isle and with the luck of the draw he was able to get some of the best handpicked players around that were very well known as Eric Church‘s drummer Craig Wright and bass guitarist Lee Hendricks. He also had great musicians like Lee Ann Womack’s fiddle player Hank Singer, Jamie Whiting on piano, and Karey Marks on Lead Guitar. They all had a hand in creating recorded Pete’s first 10 song album titled “Alligator Alley“ that has reached 37 radio stations and 47 retailers. There are some great songs on his first recordings that reflect Pete’s life journey.
In 2013 titled he released 3 EP Singles “I Can’t Drink You Pretty”, “Rum, Rum, Rum’ and “Hollar & Swollar.
In Jan. of 2014 he released “Do you Wanna Cowboy” that has already hit National Radio Airways and has sold thousands of downloads so far.
