Starting in early 2011 Tyler Higley(drums) and Chase Webb(guitar) started out on a quest to bring metal back to its roots while putting a newer age twist on it. Realizing that they had something special they kept on the same path of making true,in your face music and having fun doing it. Catching the attention of Chase's brother, Dusty(bass) jumped on the chance to add to the sound and give it that low end thump that Massacre needed. While adding new songs to their expanding metal resume Massacre at the Opera needed something to complete their sound. Chris Gumeson(vocals) grabbed the mic and took control of vocals. With the band complete they started tearing up venues around Washington state with their powerful and attention grabbing live performances, making quite an impact on the local scene. After a couple of years of playing live and getting shows under their belt and winning Gorilla Music's Battle of the Bands in late 2013 they decided to hit the studio in the summer of 2014 and release their first ever studio album. The Cd Mental Decay was released on 11/01/14 @Louie Gs. the band joined Mental Itch Music Group shortly after the CD release show. Changes in the line up came in late 2014 with the departure of Dusty and the addition of fill in bassist John Stahlman from All The Hellbound helping out till a replacement could be found. John took the position as a permanent band member in early 2015. Johns talent and sound is helping take the band to the next level that is blowing people away. With new music coming together the band hopes to hit the studio again sometime in 2015. Metal Forever \m/MATO\m/
