A rowdy invasion of the San Diego music scene, Damn Riot displays time spent listening to metal and rock in small town bedrooms (sneaking pop songs alone in the car) while city kids bought new clothes. They combine a female and two male lead vocalists/guitarists, a bass player with ridiculously thick chops, tons of electricity and a drummer straight out of the Peruvian hardcore scene. With songs that celebrate partying and living for the moment but never betray a more serious cosmic philosophy, Damn Riot flirts with nihilism but proves they're too smart for that. Damn Riot is shedding youth in alleys, finding community behind glass buildings, becoming "the weirdos" and understanding every meaning of the words love and hate. With a polished live show and a new EP under their belt, Damn Riot is poised to take the music world by storm with their version of urban theater. That or burn it all down.
